The Requirement
Managing the Business Link brand on Merseyside, Greater Merseyside Enterprise (GME) has over 100 staff based at various locations.
The Solution
Amatica provides network and web server management and consultancy to GME and has developed GME's customer-facing web site and corporate intranet. These systems incorporate knowledge management facilities and link to the company's HR system. Staff are able to access these systems via a secure extranet.
The main GME Internet site, www.gme.org.uk, is designed and hosted by Amatica, who also monitor and provide regular consultation on improving security, reliability and resilience. Other services include:
- monitoring monthly bandwidth usage reports;
- regular server checks;
- operating system patches;
- scheduled firewall and anti-virus updates.

With firewall management, capacity and upgrade planning and ongoing consultancy, Amatica ensures that GME staff and clients get the best from their internal and web based systems.
