Serco
Project:
Deployment of kiosks and software
Sector:
Local Government
Target:
General Public
The Requirement
A consortium of 4 local authorities across Derbyshire and Staffordshire are partnering together to bring online information and services to residents across the region.
The Solution
Amatica was awarded a contract by the consortium's incumbent IT services supplier, Serco, to supply 18 interactive self-service kiosks for use by residents across rural Derbyshire.
A key aspect of the contract involves integrating the kiosks with the councils' revenue and benefits systems, enabling the public to track progress of claims and payments and make service requests to the council.
Working in conjunction with Serco and the councils' revenues and benefits system supplier, Anite, Amatica managed the supply and installation of the kiosk network and designed an intuitive kiosk interface to Anite's Pericles system that will allow residents to check the status of their account via the kiosks.
The Outcome
The rollout of the network of kiosks will enable residents even in the most remote areas of rural Derbyshire and Staffordshire to access council services online.
